KASHGAI carpet (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 245 x 150cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A marine field, decorated with weavers' combs and small diamonds, hosts a sowing of polychrome starry medallions vegetalized, laid in diagonal. Five multicolored borders with various stylized garlands participate in the framing. Sawtooth braid and colored kilims.
