Complete set of 38 maps with period-colored borders, housed in five slipcases, from the second edition of the Geographical Atlas of Spain, published in 1810. The maps are dated from 1765 to 1802. An important atlas, published here as separate sheets, with maps originally produced between 1765 and 1802. The atlas includes a general map of the Iberian Peninsula, maps of all the Spanish provinces, and a map of the Kingdom of Portugal, all drawn by Don Tomás López. Engraved on copper and hand-colored at the time, they are adorned with decorative title cartouches and accompanied by texts and tables. They depict administrative divisions, major cities, towns, and villages, monuments and public buildings, roads, rivers, canals, and mountainous terrain. Don Tomás López (1730–1802), a Spanish cartographer, began his studies at the Imperial College in Madrid. In 1752, he traveled to Paris to continue his training in cartography under the great French cartographer Jean-Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville (1697–1782). There he lived alongside Juan de la Cruz Cano y Olmedilla, Manuel Salvador Carmona, and Alonso Cruzado. In 1804, López published his *Atlas Geográfico de España*, the first atlas of Spain produced by a Spanish cartographer. After his death, his children published a new edition in 1810, followed by another in 1830.
