Light Cavalry Officer’s Saber, Model 1822-82. Bronze and horn fittings. Oval-shaped pommel. Filigree-decorated horn tang. Two-pronged guard on a curved joint. Curved blade with hollow edges and a fuller, made by Couleaux & Cie in Kingenthal. Oxidized iron scabbard with a single ferrule. Total length: 106 cm. France, Third Republic period. Includes a leather non-commissioned officer’s sword strap (damaged).
