A pair of matching Louis XV-style chests of drawers attributed to François Linke (1855–1946). Chests of drawers inlaid with flowers, foliage, and reeds on a radiating background within panels outlined with curly rosewood. With a flowing silhouette, they open with two drawers without a crossbar and rest on curved legs. Richly ornamented with finely chiseled and gilded bronze work featuring sinuous frames with scrollwork and foliage, floral and foliage cartouches, and acanthus-leaf finials and bases. Marble top. Side damage: cracks on one side, peeling on the other. Minor imperfections.
