Staff Officer’s Sword, Restoration Period. - Lot 145
Staff Officer’s Sword, Restoration Period. Chiseled, gilded brass hilt with shagreen. Pommel featuring a thunderbolt; crossguard adorned with oak leaf sprigs, from which a small branch extends, connecting to the guard plate decorated with a rooster. Curved counter-guard and wooden tang covered with filigree-patterned shagreen. Straight blade with a central ridge from the Royal Manufactory of Klingenthal, dated June 1832. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings and a leather suspension strap (attached separately, not at the waist). France, Louis-Philippe period.
