Paris, cercle d'art, 1953. 2 volumes in-4 (of 3), first edition of the first two volumes of this anthology conceived by Paul Eluard, illustrated with numerous black and color reproductions. Bound in full red publisher's percaline. Enriched with Pablo Picasso's autograph signature in red and blue pencil on the first page of the first volume, his autograph signature in blue pencil on the second volume, and an autograph letter signed by Fernand Léger to Jean Varenne in red and blue pencil opposite the reproduction of one of his works in the second volume. (the third volume is incomplete).
