Neo-Gothic silver chalice; the cup is decorated with flowers and foliage accented with turquoise beads, and the base features three plaques with painted enamel designs, including Christ The base is a six-pointed star. Engraved beneath the base is “M D to our beloved son on the day of his ordination to the priesthood, December 21, 1901.” Minerva hallmark. Gross weight: 486 g Note: This chalice belonged to Mr. Maurice Deswartes, a priest who died in Germany while imprisoned in Gardelegen in 1915.
