Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Tricot, an iconic cartoon jacket in wool knit featuring Woody Woodpecker's head, from the Italian collaboration with Iceberg in 1974. Loose-fitting jacket with long sleeves and shawl collar in red knit treated like a scarf. Unzipped jacket with suede yoke at the top of the back embroidered with the character. Claw in white satin with black graphics mentioning Modèle déposé, JC de de Castelbajac , Made in Italy, Knitwear, size 42. Circa 1975-1985. Good condition. Woody Woodpecker is an American cartoon character created in 1940 by Walter Lantz and his team (Walter Lantz Productions). He first appeared in 1940 in a short film entitled Knock Knock, alongside Andy Panda. The 192-episode series The Woody Woodpecker Show, distributed by Universal Studios, ran until 1971, making him the last of the big-screen "toon" stars.Expert: Serge LIAGRE
