An unpublished vest from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's early - Lot 41
An unpublished vest from Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's early days, circa 1974. An ethnically inspired vest using the primary colors red, yellow and blue. Drawing his inspiration from Western, Mayan and Aztec civilizations, as well as the Egypt of the Pharaohs, the designer uses noble basic materials here: yellow cotton canvas, leather and suede. Straight-cut vest, closed in front with four signature buttons and two side slit pockets. Meticulous work in leather appliqué on cotton with crenellated graphics, showing an Egyptian eye on the back and leather bangs revealing a star under a triangle. No lining and black graphic white satin label indicating Jcdecastelbajac, News size M. Years 1975 -1985. Very good conditionExpert : Serge LIAGRE
