Eric Dubrulle Haute couture in Paris, numbered runway piece from the Spring Summer 1996 collection. A long evening gown in white polyester crepe. Cross-over wrap front, long sleeves with rolled-up cuffs and large collar with cross-over flaps to the waist. Oblique pleat work from the shoulders to the waist, treated vertically on the hips to unfold at the bottom of the skirt. Cream silk crepe lining and inner cross-belt closure with sheathed snaps. White satin label with black graphics indicating Eric Dubrulle Paris, handwritten cotton bolduc under label indicating number 0075. We also enclose a photocopy of the sketch of this dress. Equivalent size 36-38 France. Very fine condition. Eric Dubrulle (1963-1996) opened his Paris couture house at 5 Avenue Matignon in 1995, and produced only two shows, in July 1995 and January 1996, following his sudden death in a car accident on March 16, 1996. He had previously worked as a tailor at Jean-Louis Scherrer, before joining Hanae Mori after a trip to Italy to learn about ready-to-wear techniques. Eric Dubrulle was renowned for the quality of his couture designs and finishes. In January 1996, L'Officiel de la couture et de la mode de Paris (issue 802-805) headlined: "A refined collection for Parisian elegance".expert: Serge LIAGRE
