Exceptional, important, old and very fine Kirman Laver Persia Late 19th, early 20th century Dimensions 452 x 328 cm High-quality, very silky, fine lambswool Kork velvet on cotton backing Frayed endings Fairly good overall condition Remarkably fresh colors Density approx. 8000/8500 knots per dm². Ivory field decorated with finely drawn polychrome garlands of flowers and foliage framing a large poly-lobed central medallion in the form of a stylized pendant inlaid with multicolored flowering palmettes. Four spandrels with motifs echoing the central medallion. Five borders, the main one in old gold, decorated with rows of polychrome floral bulbs.
