PORTUGUESE JEWS. Manuscript. 18th century. 2 pp. in-folio. Minor spotting, missing without affecting the text at the head of the document. Handwritten copy of Arrêtes relatifs aux juifs "connus sous le titre de Portuguais" établis dans les généralités de Bordeaux et Ausch, revoked in June 1723, "jouiroient de tout le contenu aux déclarations et lettres patentes des mois d'aoust 1550, novembre 1574, 19 avril 1580 et du mois de décembre 1656," sans être tenus de prendre de lettres de naturalité et en se faire immatriculer pardevant le juge [...with permission and the right to live, trade and negotiate as before the arrest of February 21, 1722, paying [...] the sum of one hundred thousand livres in favor of the right of joyeux-avenement [...]".
