BAUDELAIRE Charles (1821-1867). Autograph initialled letter, incomplete from the beginning, addressed to [his publisher Auguste Poulet-Malassis]. S.l.n.d. [June 1860?]. 3 pp. in-12. Scratches, additions and corrections. Small paper tears at center fold.

And the pox?
I single-handedly advertised in nearly [200 strikethrough] 300 newspapers. Did they all get through? I don't know. I know they went out from the Ministry. I can't say. M. de Lescure says he is amazed by the book. I think d'Aurevilly is pleased, but he wrote so much nonsense about Pommier and Aubryet [words crossed out] that he was laughed at, and he no longer dares speak of the young school. The term is not mine.
