Tear at center fold (leaves almost detached) without damage to text. CLAUDE MONET PAINTS THREE PICTURES FOR PAUL GALLIMARD. "[...] Dear Sir. I have just received the sum of eight thousand five hundred francs from Monsieur Perrot. I thank you for it, but it was not so urgent BECAUSE I AM STILL DELIVERING YOU THE THREE PAINTINGS YOU HAVE CHOSEN. I AM WORKING ON THEM, and when I get word from you, I'll send them where you tell me. Please remember me to Madame Gallimard [...]". Fine signature. A later portrait of Monet and an English index card for another letter from Monet are included.
