LOUIS XV. Piece with autograph annotation. S.l.n.d. [1738]. ½ p. in-folio. "Il est dû au Marquis de Beringhen pour dépenses faites au château de la Müette pendant le quartier de Juillet 1738 au dela des six mille livres a lui ordonnés pour led[it] quartier, ma somme de trois mille cinq cent vingt neuf livres onze sols six deniers". King Louis XV validated this order with the word "Bon" in his own handwriting. Henri-Camille de Beringhen (1693-1770), Marquis de Beringhen et d'Uxelles, was then Governor of Châlon sur Saône and Governor of the Châteaux of La Muette and Madrid. A friend of the arts, he was notably close to Oudry and Lancret, and collected Rembrandt prints.
