Jacobus Van Looy (1855-1930) Portrait of a man after Frans Hals (1580-1666) Oil on canvas Signed and dated lower right, 1880 50 x 41.7 cm The painting is based on one of the figures in Frans Hals' famous Banquet of the Officers of the Corps of Archers of Saint Adrian, painted in 1627 and now in the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem (inv. os I-111).
