Jean-Baptiste PATER (Valenciennes 1695- Paris 1736) Full-length portrait of an elegant woman seen from the back, verso: proof of a study for M. de Pourceaugnac Sanguine 205 x 122 mm. Numbered lower left "125". Insolate in the center of the drawing, small strip of paper added at the bottom Numbered lower left "125". Old label on verso Provenance: Former Groult collection, numbered lower left "125" from Groult album Other drawings with the same numbering are in the Musée du Louvre. The drawing of the reverse proof is in the Metropolitan Museum, New York (inv.2000.91.2).
