Light cavalry officer's saber, AN XI model, attributed to the Guard. Brass hunter-style mounting. Long-tailed cap, jointed bow with two detached branches. Shuttle-shaped crosspiece and curved quillon. Silk covered with watermarked leather. Two mounts. Curved blade with throat and counter-edge. One-third engraved with the imperial eagle, trophy and markings of the Klingenthal factory, Coulaux frères. Remains of gilding on the heel. Iron scabbard with two wide brass bracelets and faceted studs. Heavy oxidation. Total length: 98 cm First Empire period.
