Dish featuring a central figure of Eros in the walking pose, holding a crown in one hand and a pyxis in the other. The decoration is framed by a frieze of laurel and waves. It faces a milestone. At the edge, two buttons in relief. Black glazed ceramic with red figures and white highlights. Border stoppers in place of handles. Magna Graecia, 4th century B.C. D. 24 cm Provenance: Acquired by the current owner from Galerie Démons et Merveilles, Blois, in 1996.
