In-12, new edition illustrated after Holbein's engravings with an engraved frontispiece, a portrait of the author, 73 in-text compositions and 6 folding plates. Translation by Gueudeville. Bound in later half vellum with corners, smooth titled spine. Preceded by 11 manuscript pages bound at the head and 12 manuscript pages bound at the end of the volume. Ex-libris Burckhardt. (binding rubbed, small tears to covers and corners, some handwritten annotations, tear with small loss to fifth folding engraving).
