Louis XV style gilt bronze, brass and Boulle marquetry carte - Lot 202
Louis XV style gilt bronze, brass and Boulle marquetry cartel and bracket with hourglass cherubs, topped by a female figure with an eagle in the round. The console features angled putti faces and ends in a mascaron with a fantastic head. The bottom of the case is inlaid with paving and the inside of the door with foliage. Dial with blue Roman numerals in enameled cartouches on a gilded metal base decorated with a rooster and flowers. Movement signed JOSUE PANIER PARIS, slat suspension.
