Model 1855 infantry officer's saber. Brass mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, fillet joint arch, openwork top decorated with flowers, drop-shaped quillon. Blackened wood spindle, watermark missing. Slightly curved blade with unmarked groove and gutter. Iron scabbard with two bracelets. Some oxidation. Total length: 91.5 cm. France, second half of the 19th century.
