Great and fine Isfahan Iran Wool and silk Circa 1965/70 Shah era Size 250 x 152 cm High-quality silky lambswool velvet, flowers surrounded by silk on silk foundations Density approx. 8/9000 knots per dm² Remarkable finesse Good condition Ivory field decorated with scrolls of fine crenellated stems with flowering palmettes surrounded by finely drawn foliage framing a central pinkish-beige rosette with flowery crown Four sky-blue spandrels with garlands of flowers. Five borders, the main one pale pink, decorated with floral bulb sowing.
