Important Aubusson carpet France Late 18th, early 19th century 380 x 330 cm Needlework Tapestry technique Wool yarn on wool or cotton foundation Wear, tears (accidents), old restorations. Green bronze abrache field adorned with a large central medallion with a polychrome wreath of flowers and foliage, framing a second gold-yellow medallion inlaid with a central floral rosette. Four spandrels with multicolored floral bouquets. Parma border decorated with rows of floral buds and stylized foliage compositions.
