Pair of chased and gilt bronze andirons. - Lot 241
Pair of chased and gilt bronze andirons. Model with "l'Enfant arabesque" after a model by Jean-Noël Turpin (master in 1773). 19th century. This is a copy of the famous model created in 1786 by Jean Hauré for the founder Jean-Noël Turpin (master in 1773). They were then gilded by Claude Galle and placed in the Grand Cabinet of the Salon des nobles de la Reine in Versailles. Height: 34.5 cm - length: 34.5 cm A model kept at The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
