Louis XV table-top cartel
In black lacquered wood, decorated with gilded and chased bronzes featuring a young woman holding a bouquet of flowers and surmounted by a putto in the round. Resting on four feet.
Dial featuring white enameled cartouches on a gilded background, with blue Roman numerals for the hours and black Arabic numerals for the minutes.
Signed "Gallois" on an enamelled plate below the dial.
Back plate signed "Gallois Paris", wire suspension.
H. 86 cm.
Some traces of oxidation and signs of use, one enamelled cartouche cracked.
