Grand Officer's set of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus (founded in 1572).
The silver plate (800 thousandths) with diamond-point decoration, applied to the center of a green and white enameled gold cross, fastened with a toggle pin.
The jewel is in gold (750 thousandths) and polychrome enamel, the setting and the sphere of the crown in gold (585 thousandths), added later. Minor dents and missing enamel.
Rome, late 19th century, after 1871.
Work of Domenico Cravanzola, successor to Borani. The reverse side of the plate bears the maker's pastille.
L. 8 cm. Gross weight: 42.7 g (plate).
