Dreyse cavalry snap hook, model 1857. Die-stamped "12.D.2.132" for 12th Dragon, 2nd Battalion, Gun 132. Single shot, breech loading. Case dated "Mod 57" and dated 1861. Walnut stock with iron and brass fittings. Remnant leather strap. Overall length: 80 cm. Good mechanics.
