ZAMOYSKI Auguste, after Head in bronze with gilded patina on a rectangular terrace with black patina, modern edition cast, proof marked EA stamped CLEMENTI CIRE PERDUE and EA, on the base: ZAMOYSKI Height: 19cm - Width: 27 cm Posthumous edition bronze representing Antoni Slonismki (1895-1976) Polish author, poet and journalist. A diorite sculpture of the same subject, carved in 1927 and now lost, is in the National Museum in Warsaw. These posthumous castings were commissioned by Father André Gouzes for the Zamoyski Museum at the Prieuré des Granges, Haute-Garonne.
