Naval officer's saber. - Lot 29
Naval officer's saber. Bronze mounting. Oval cap assembled to the guard with scallop frieze motifs. Joint arch pierced for the lanyard and chased to connect the openwork plate decorated with a naval anchor under a crown. Slightly curved quillon decorated with a dolphin head. Horn spindle (watermark missing). Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter, remains of Coulaux & cie signature on back. Scabbard with three chased brass fittings with naval anchor and cap button. Total length: 80 cm. France, Third Republic period. Includes lanyard.
