Model 1855 infantry officer's saber. Brass mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, fillet joint arch, openwork top decorated with flowers, drop-shaped quillon. Filigreed horn spindle. Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter, dated 1872. Iron scabbard with two bracelets. Some oxidation. Total length: 91.5 cm. France, Third Republic period.
