CHAUMEIL Alcide faiencerie, (late XIX-early XX) Little girl laughing with a doll - little girl crying with a dunce cap Pair of terracotta busts, on the back A CH PARIS Height: approx. 17 cm each NB: This original, whimsical terra cotta subject was made by the famous earthenware manufacturer Alcide Chaumeil as a pin-holder. The child's skull cap was replaced by a small padded cap, designed to hold sewing pins.
