MARWICK MARKHAM 18K (750 thousandths) gold triple case pocket watch, white enamel dial, black railway minute track, Ottoman hour and minute markers, signed MARKWICK MARKHAM and H. STORY LONDON, openworked gold hands. Hinged 18K (750 thousandths) gold openwork first case, engraved and enameled with floral decorations inside and out. Second case in 18K (750 thousandths) gold, its bezel engraved and enameled, its guilloché back decorated with a miniature painted on enamel of a harbor scene with two ships, a lighthouse and a village on a cliff. For the watch, engraved enameled 18K (750 thousandths) gold bezel, 18K (750 thousandths) gold caseback decorated with engravings and enameled, two painted miniatures for Science and Music, in the red enameled guilloché center with painted decoration of flowers. Decorated openworked cock movement, old-cut diamond balance shaft counter-pivot, Ottoman-police advance and delay setting disc, plate signed MARKWICK MARKHAM H. STORY LONDON, supported by decorated pillars, verge escapement, fusée chain system. Watch functional at time of appraisal, without guarantee of future operation or condition of parts. Very slight scratches to case and crystal, slight marks to dial. Accompanied by a case and its winding key with synthetic rubies with accidents, shocks and chips.
