LEVILLAIN Ferdinand (1837-1905) and BARBEDIENNE Ferdinand (1837-1905) Pair of bronze vases with brown patina and gilded highlights in the form of antique-style urns with circular decoration of Bacchus masks under an olive branch on which rests a thyrse, openwork handles underlined by bucranes with garlands of flowers and fruit, tripod base with busts of Hercules. Cast by Barbedienne, signed. Late 19th century. Height Height : 56 cm It is possible that this type of vase was edited from the bronze vase exhibited by Ferdinand Levillain (Paris, 1837-1905) at the 1875 Salon under the title "Le Sacrifice".
