Model 1845-55 infantry officer's saber. Brass mounting. Oval cap with laurel wreath, fillet joint arch, openwork top decorated with flowers, drop-shaped quillon. Horn spindle (watermark missing). Slightly curved blade with groove and gutter signed "Couleau". Scabbard missing. France, second half of the 19th century.
