Spanish officer's pistol. Supposedly for naval service. Percussion front lock. Chased hammer and lock with foliate decoration. Pitch barrel marked with brass thread and cursive letters. "FABRICADO POR ANTONIO ALTARDI ANO 1850". Checkered walnut stock, all iron fittings and belt hook. Cap with ring for passing through the lanyard. Good mechanics. Spain, circa 1850.
