Set of two naval officer's swords, model 1837. Mounted in bronze and horn. Top-shaped pommel with scallop shell. Flat joint arch decorated with laurel leaf friezes and straight palmette quillons. Top with navy anchor on a background of pennants and laurel wreath. Folding counterplate. Horn spindle (watermark missing). Straight blade with diamond-shaped cross-section. Leather scabbards with two brass fittings (missing fittings and accidents). France, mid-19th century Total lengths: 96 and 88 cm Oxidation
