History
Saint Vsévolod (?-1138), also known as Vsévolod of Pskov or Prince Vsévolod-Gabriel, is a saint of the Russian Orthodox Church, often depicted with a sword because of his dual nature as a prince, as a member of the Riourikid dynasty, and as a defender of the faith. Vsévolod died a martyr around 1138,
probably for refusing to abandon Christianity. His death earned him recognition as a martyr for Christ.
