A medal of the Ordre du Mérite Colonial, with distinctive "Levant" bar, is attached. Provenance Jules-Marie Armand Cavelier de Cuverville (1834-1912), Vice-Admiral, Chief of Staff of the French Navy, Senator for Finistère between 1901 and 1912, received Officier de l'Ordre de la Légion d'honneur on January 10, 1872.
