Luxurious shotgun by GOSSET in Paris. Under hammer" percussion system. Double barrel in damascened steel on the shooting band "Invention Gosset à Paris". Chased breech tail with bird decoration and "Gosset breveté" cartouche. Finely chased iron butt with plumage decoration and screw-mounted wooden tenon. Finely carved walnut stock with Bacchus decoration. Chased trigger guard decorated with a hunting dog. Good mechanics for one of the hounds, broken spring for the second, accident to the stock. Total length: 99.5 cm. 19th century work. Category D weapon.
