Right from his earliest works, Antoine LEPERLIER revealed what was to become the leitmotif of his artistic work: the concept of time.
By illustrating the decomposing flesh of the body, his representation was already evident in 1978 in biomorphic motifs drawn in graphite on paper, before reappearing three years later on the surface of his first pâte de verre objects: Les Vases méplats, Envers fendus, Grandes vasques and Vases n°13.
