CHINA - 19th century Baluster-shaped vase in flamed violet enameled porcelain, the shoulder decorated with two taotie masks in relief. Later over-decorated in Europe with a peacock on a pierced rock with plum blossoms, and butterflies flying among peonies and lotuses. Two butterfly-shaped relief grips added on the shoulder (Choc). H. 33 cm
