The map's cartographer is Isaac Massa (1586-1643), a Dutch cartographer and traveler. The map shows the Murmansk Sea and the west coast of New Zealand to the north, and Lapland to the northwest. Adorned with a title cartouche and a scale cartouche depicting 2 hunters, bears, a deer, etc., and a coat of arms with the Russian coat of arms.
