VOLTAIRE: Candide. Paris, Librairie Anavoizard, 1980, folio, edition illustrated by Alain Bonnefoit with 18 color etchings. Limited edition of 64 numbered copies, this one no. 15, one of 10 on Japon nacré Canson Montgolfier paper, including an original drawing and a copperplate used for the illustration. Bound in full leather with large irregular mosaic pieces running down the spine, smooth spine, signed Annie Boige. Each engraving is hand-signed by the artist, the original drawing is accompanied by an autograph signed letter from the illustrator, and the original copperplate is inserted inside the slipcase. (Minor damage to the slipcase, epidermis and the beginnings of cracks).
