BARBEY D'AUREVILLY (Jules). Les diaboliques. Paris, Simon Kra, 1925. In-4, edition illustrated by Serge Ivanoff with 19 etchings and André Hofer with letterpress ornaments. Limited edition of 350 numbered copies, this one unnumbered, on Japon impérial paper. Bound in full red morocco, 4 ribbed spine, gilded title, author and date, double marbled paper endpapers, covers and spine preserved, signed Simon Kra. Publisher's copy bound by him, marked "mon exemplaire", signed and enriched with 7 states of the engravings on various unnumbered papers and a suite of 22 proofs, some stamped "épreuve", and 3 sheets of original drawings of initials and ornaments (slight rubbing to spine and rubbing to slipcase).
