In-folio, edition illustrated with 9 hors-texte compositions, one of which is a double-page spread, as well as with illuminated lettering and caps by Ansaldi. Each page in a rich Oriental-style frame with vegetal motifs, polychrome interlacing and sailing ships, printed by Le Chant des Sphères. Limited edition of 1,250 numbered copies, including 50 copies on Japon and 1,200 on vélin de Rives, this one no. 985, one of 1,200 on vélin de Rives. Bound in full red morocco leather, the first plate decorated with a composition featuring Sindbad in an orientalist black and gold architectural frame, smooth spine decorated and titled, in a protective slipcase. In protective slipcase, complete with warranty certificate (top edge of slipcase detached).
