VILLON (François). Ballades. Nice, Joseph Pardo, 1967, large in-4, edition illustrated by Ansaldi with a double plate and 10 hors-texte plates. Limited edition of 1,250 numbered copies, this one no. 161, one of 948 on pur chiffon B.F.K. de Rives. Publisher's full red morocco grosgrain leather binding, first cover with framing gilded fillet and large central hexagonal ornament decorated in cold and gilding, brass crowns and halberds surrounding a central fleur-de-lys, spine decorated with faux-nerfs, in slipcase lined with the same leather. Enriched with an original watercolor signed by Ansaldi and a suite of illustrations, complete with warranty certificate (spine very slightly unstained).
