MIRBEAU (Octave). Le jardin des supplices. Paris, Javal et Bourdeaux, 1927. In-4, edition illustrated by Raphaël Freida with 11 hors-texte etchings. Limited edition of 538 numbered copies, this one no. 176, one of 360 on Arches vellum. Bound in full black morocco, the boards mosaicked with two bands of green morocco embellished with black and gilded fillets, smooth spine decorated with the same embellished bands, spine flaps framed with double gilded fillets and mosaicked with the same ornament, covers and spine preserved, signed Laskine, in a case lined with the same morocco. (slight rubbing to the case, mosaic on the spine damaged).
