After giving a definition of the State, Beausobre (1730-1790), Royal Councillor and member of the Berlin Academy, discusses agriculture in general, with information on the cultivation of vines, tobacco, cotton, wood, saffron, sugar, fruit, etc. The second volume, in continuous pagination, contains numerous details on the American colonies and trade with Africa, Asia, the Levant and China.
