First edition, with 10 etchings in the text by Émile Thérond. - Histoire anecdotique des cafés et cabarets de Paris. Paris, Dentu, 1862. In-12, red half-maroquin with corners, ornate spine, gilt head, untrimmed (Allô). First edition and first printing of the illustration including a frontispiece by Félicien Rops, an etching by Gustave Courbet printed at the head of the first chapter and illustrating the Café Andler-Keller where Traviès, Bodmer, Champfleury and Baudelaire met, and 6 vignettes engraved by Léopold Flameng, all printed on chine collé. A very fine copy.
